Save big on KNP wilderness trails

Hiking enthusiasts who take on the Kruger National Park’s Wilderness Trails can expect to pay R1 827,50, which is 15% less than the normal fee of R2 150 for trails booked for the following periods: December 1 – 14, 2004 or from January 16 until February 28, 2005.

This discounted fee is applicable to all seven of the KNP’s Wilderness Trails, namely Nyalaland, Olifants, Sweni, Metsi-Metsi, Napi, Wolhuter and Bushman’s.

Currently managed by concessionaire, The KNP Wilderness Company since 2001, the Wilderness Trails have been operating for the last 25 years without serious incident and have been described as the ultimate African bush experience currently available to the general public in the Kruger National Park.

The seven trails offer guests a unique experience and unrivalled views of Kruger’s unspoilt natural beauty.

The three night trails are lead by experienced trails rangers and hikers stay in rustic accommodation (A-frame huts). The price includes meals (hiking cuisine) and transport from the nearest main camp to the trails camp. Guests must remember to bring comfortable hiking clothing – including hats/caps - for the duration of the trail and durable but comfortable walking shoes or boots.

Trails depart from the main camps every Sunday and Wednesday and hikers are returned to the main camps when the trail is completed.

The discount affects all SANParks clients, whether they own a Wild Card or not.
