KZN HRs Funding New Hide at GG, (one putt at a time...)
The SANParks (South African National Parks) Honorary Rangers of KZNatal held their annual golf day at the Maritzburg Country Club recently.
"Funds from this annual project are earmarked for various projects, including the Vulture Restaurant Hide to be built at Golden Gate", Chairman, Mr. Jan De Wet explains. He urges potential sponsors for next year's golf day to contact Koos Vorster on 0834537865 to book their places early.
Although KwaZulu Natal does not have any SANParks parks, this region has a small and active Honorary Ranger group. Their biggest project is currently the building of the previously mentioned hide at Golden Gate Highlands National Park, in conjunction with SANParks, Birdlife SA and our sister region in the Free State. "We're very excited about this project, and we'll be sure to inform the public of our progress via this site", De Wet concludes.
