The Kruger National Park (KNP) will change from its current check-in and check-out times for guests with effect from Thursday, April 1, 2010. The check-in time will change from 12:00 to 14:00 while the check-out time will be changing from 09:00 to 10:00. This new arrangement, would allow guests some extra hours to enjoy their breakfast or stay a little longer in the park.
“The idea came about as part of the continuous effort to address the needs that benefit our guests; this review process has seen various internal business processes and standards being changed in order to ensure controls which aim to offer improved guest service”, said the Head: Tourism and Marketing, Ms Lucy Nhlapo. If units are ready for occupation before check-in time, guests will still be allowed to check-in earlier than 14:00.
Hospitality Services Managers (Camp Managers) have already started to workshop all affected staff at camps about this change to ensure that enquiries from guests are dealt with in a courteous and professional manner.
For now, this arrangement will be implemented in the Kruger National Park only and will not affect the other National Parks. To book or find out more about accommodation types in the Kruger National Park, please visit the SANParks website on: www.sanparks.org or call central reservations on (012) 428 9111.
