Media Release: Fun awaits kids at Camdeboo holiday programme
Tons of fun awaits kids who sign up for the upcoming Camdeboo National Park holiday programme.
Camdeboo National Park will be hosting a fun-filled holiday programme over the week of 2 to 6 July 2012 and all keen young adventurers are invited to join in the fun. The programme should prove just the solution for parents looking for holiday activities for their children.
The Park’s holiday programme was first started in June 2011 and this pilot project proved a fantastic success. An average of 30 children visited the park daily to learn and play games in the natural environment. A second holiday programme was hosted during December 2011, which included specially designed themes and activities, such as ‘Awesome Ocean Wednesday’, ‘Green Grassy Thursday’ and ‘Sporty Boere Friday’.
The upcoming June holiday programme is expected to be an event not to be missed, with a host of specially selected daily themes and activities that have been planned. Children will have a chance to learn about the solar system, recycling, all things blue in nature and our earth as well as partake in a fun day.
The programme, which runs from 09h00 to 14h00 daily at the Camdeboo Environmental Education Centre in the Park, has the following themes:
- 2 July 2012 – Mad Moony Monday
- 3 July 2012 – Real Recycling Tuesday
- 4 July 2012 – Blue Blurry Wednesday
- 5 July 2012 – “Our Earth” Thursday
- 6 July 2012 – Funny Fun Friday
All children from ages 6-14 years are welcome to participate at a cost of R15 per child per day. Remember that bookings are essential as there is limited space for this programme.
Come and join us and learn about our natural world while having fun!
