Oh Guinea Pig ,

I can unterstand you because it's often like that with my sons ...go , reverse , a little bit more ...
And they can't understand why i am  because they are too young to drive .
And this year, we would have seen well that second sighting of cheetah if my younger boy didn't say "stoooooooooooooooooooooooooooop" , making me looking at him like un idiot intead of stoping for the cheetah .
I would have prefered " Cheetah !!"

Oh , the cheetah was deseapering in the herbs after i reversed .
It was "hot" in the car , you can imagine .... But five minutes later i was saved by a great hyenas and wild-dogs sighting
And fortunately we have had two days before a long nice cheetah sighting at Nhlanganzwani where we were the lonely car :D

Y---ikes,

I couldn’t cope with a chauffeur, the UKbadger way is for me to do the driving, game spotting and ”fast” shooting, Jenny looks where we are going!!!

Dodgy I know, but our best recipe to date for marital harmony.

Ps. Jenny looks where we are going what ever she is supposed to be doing, so what’s the difference.

O course when she does do some game spotting she immediately spots something cool and I’m never quite sure whether to be delighted or irritated!!

:hmz:

Delighted is much safer.

Here's the deal in our DD pact...I pay for EVERYTHING, including every airline ticket all the way down to the postcards he sends family and friends...and even "have" to give him pocket money. He drives and follows instructions with a smile...okay, strike that last part, there have been a few exceptions.

I started to read this post as I thought it might be someone WANTING to be a Designated Ph.'s Chauffeur, and maybe I could get a better deal out of it.

In honesty, I must admit he wears many other hats on our trips, and is worth every penny! And he never fails to exaggerate the abuse he takes and milk his travails in his tales to the family when we get home, all at my expense. It's a small price to pay....

Says my designated driver, who created a few.
A big thanks to her, who just drove me about 6000 kilometers. :gflower:

It is hard to be a DD, not only tiring, but having to judge how the DP (designated photographer in the back) will have a clear view, uninterrupted by grass or twigs. And then hearing "Forward/backward a little! Quick! No! Too far! Forward/backward a little!" the whole time, while also wanting a good view.
Arriving currently: The photos from our trip! Overhere! :yaya:

My SO prefers to do the driving himself, because he knows I "might drive where I look" instead of in the road. I am very grateful for that, because I don't like driving anyway, I prefer to do the spotting.

Oh I've got the best SO! I'm the photographer in the family and he always tries to get me in the best spot. I won't lie - we've had an argument more than once following too many comments from the photographer trying to get that perfect angle for the shot... :cam:  But all-in-all he always tries his best! Thank you, my Bushbuddy! :k
