Dear forum members

The VHR members invite you to a Wolhuter Wilderness Forum Trail/Bush Camp from 6 - 9 November 2013.

If you love the idea of doing early morning walks, late afternoon drives, listening to camp fire stories told by master story tellers, snacks/brunches/afternoon teas/dinners prepared for you (and the washing up done for you too  ), sundowners in places that are untouched by day-visitors and all of this in a wilderness area, please PM me ASAP for more information regarding costs and anything else you need to know .

We need to know how many forum members are interested, not later than Monday, July the 15th. We need enough interested forumites to be able to do this trail/camp.

When my daughters did the Wolhuter's trail, they interrupted some of these on a hunt.

it gives waking up to barking dogs a new meaning.

What as wonderful project! I honestly hope enough 'mites respond with a big yes, so that I can read all about it later on!

Unfortunately I cannot do any bush walks of any kind with my "metal" back! :(

I gave the Wolhuter's trail to my youngest daughter as a 18th birthday present. She took one of her sisters with her.

They were walking one morning when they suddenly heard a commotion. An impala burst through the bushes and ran straight towards their walking group.

Everyone was quite alarmed and confused. Impalas don't generally run towards people.

Once the Impala had passed, they were confronted by a pack of wild dog that were busy chasing the terrified animal.

The wild dogs stopped in their tracks quite close to them and started to sniff the air. The leaders then barked at them, letting them know that they had no right to steal their meal.

Almost as quickly as they appeared, they disappeared, leaving the bush once again, silent.

They loved the camp. They told me that they had regular visits from the dwarf mongoose.

This can all be yours. 8)
