Thought to be about 160 years old, the Winterhoek house and adjacent wagon shed in the Camdeboo National Park are currently being restored to their original condition by the Rupert Historic Homes Foundation. 21 September 2014, Skukuza - In a joint South African National Parks (SANParks) and South African Police Services (SAPS) operation today (Sunday, 21 September 2014) three SANParks employees were arrested in connection with rhino poaching in the Kruger National Park.
The annual South African National Park Week hosted by South African National Parks (SANParks) was once again a success. This year’s event launched at Tsitsikamma in the Garden Route National Park on 8 September 2013 saw an increase of 85.9% resulting in a total number of 53 251 day visitors to various national parks during the focus week.
