Did they really send it....?

Unread postby Tembe & Kgala » Wed Mar 20, 2013 4:26 pm

Hello everyone

We purchased our wild card online but never received it, as more and more overseas people , as it seems
They said it was issued and sent , but then returned. I asked for registered mail details (as it is supposed to be sent registered) but no answer to that , of course.

Will we receive the actual card someday? I'm beginning to have some serious doubts.

I'm concerned , and really about to think that they try to spare costs by not issuing actual cards , and saving mail money , too...
This is not acceptable !

Hoping someonewill be able to sort it out and proove me I'm wrong ;-)

If you look back there are quite a number of us overseas Wild Card holders who have got the actual card, so yes they do send them out.

As far as I can see no previous post from you has been deleted. When did you post it?

Hi
Tembe & Kgala ( love the name) do agree that this is a rather unprofessional situation
(taking in regard the money paid for this)
Ordered 2 last year and took 2 months
And Saraf did post that the post office was on strike for a while now.
So suspect you will receive your card but sending the card must improof

Or, dont use the card anymore and only go with the letter as a organization
will save a lot of complaining

Sorry what will really stop a lot of complaining is for the organization to get its act together and stop making excuses and blaming others.

What is more simple than doing what other businesses do, get an order and deliver the goods.

In other words send the card off by registered mail to the indicated address within a reasonable time, after-all the client has paid good money for the card, who would prefer carrying around a tattered piece of paper as proof of purchase instead of a card which fits into one's wallet.

Must say I agree with all the above ... We have twice bought yearly wild cards
once in 2010 then again in 2012 and have still to receive an actual card
Now we know we can use our paper work, but it would be lovely to be able to show
all our friends our card, in fact it would be nice to actually see what one looks like
We are thinking of the possibility of a return visit to Kruger   before our 2012
one runs out ..... Any suggestions :rtm:

so , it seems it's a usual problem. The thing I don't like is when I try to contact wild card staff and interrogate them about registered mail tracking number , etc... they don't even answer to my emails then... :hmz:

The members from other parts of the world must understand that this is Africa. Not even our postal service is up to scratch. Sad but true. I see a lot of SA members trying to make excuses for our bad service. This is what we deal with on a daily basis but I will never except it! We suck at service delivery.

I did my renewal online and had to make a printout as proof because each time I got to the gate they say my card expired.... It was only sorted out the 4 time I entered the gate....

The only thing that works well in SA is when you need to pay for something. We are master of collecting payment for a service but fail dismally when we need to deliver.

Fortunately you do not need much in Kruger. Nature delivers and that makes Africa tops! Enjoy the wildlife even if it is without your wildcard.

A problem is about greed. I like you sanparks people.. but when the wild card program was run by a private contractor , there were far less problems. You should have thought about running the program efficiently before wanting to take it back from them...

I totally agree. I used to be a huge fan of the WildCard programme, but since SANParks took it over, it now costs FAR more (especially for us overseas visitors) and delivers FAR FAR less.
