Those young boys have grown up quite a bit since your visit... the lion at the back of your photo now looks like this 8)

Ive seen two big males at the Addo Road crossing on the 13th of October 2013. Is it the same two males?

Hi Werner, it might have been. I was in the park on 10th October and saw both the boys (their names are Melvin & Gibson) as well as Roy and Nomad (older males - they look a little bit bigger than the younger 2, as well as having some more scars). Roy and Nomad were just down from the road crossing in Wayne's Valley with Gina, whilst Melvin and Gibson were about 3km further north. I guess 3 days later it could have been either of those sets of males

Here are a few pics of the older 2 - maybe it'll help you figure out which ones you saw...

I saw these two. Next time I will make sure that I always take my camera with and also double-check that it works...

I go to Addo +- every 3 months.

A few sightings from this past week to share.

Monday's heat wave brought the Ellies out for a cool-off at Harpoor:

Even mothers were shielding their young from the sun

and these young ladies couldn't resist a cooling dip!!

Image

Other waterholes were also kept busy

Never-the-less, work must still go on and on and on!!!!
